DSD Design were commissioned by the BBC to develop and install office ‘break out' areas for the BBC's new Broadcasting Centre at The Mailbox in Birmingham, in line with the BBC-wide ‘Making it Happen' initiative to give staff more say and involvement in the look and design of their workspace. DSD were further asked to extend one of the themed areas to provide additional meeting and rest areas for BBC Asian Networks .
